SpecRacing Series 1

The Virtual Motorsports 2012 Season is finally here, and what a way to finally introduce it by revealing Series 1 of the ever popular SpecRacing event, a series famed for its close racing and rip-roaring action that is second to none. Taking the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo to a performance index of A-565, rear-wheel drive racing is brought to life in a car that invites even the most new beginners to have a go due to its limited tuning options but lets the veterans really seek their teeth and tap into the hidden performance.

Racing on Thursdays at 19:00 CST / 01:00 GMT / 11:00 AEST, the series will travel the globe, spanning thousands of miles to travel to some of the most famous circuits that Forza Motorsport 4 offers. Starting at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan, the series will cross the Pacific to America and the Road America circuit before visiting the Infineon Raceway and the Sebring International Raceway. Next, the journey to Europe begins as the circus travels to the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain, the Hockenheimring in Germany and the Silverstone Racing Circuit in England before finishing in the land of the rising sun for Twin Ring Motegi. Large expansive circuits should allow the drivers plenty of racing room and plenty of battles.

For first official series of 2012, there will be 3 championships in which to contest providing at least two championships for all drivers. The Drivers Championship will be the main focal point in which all drivers signed up will do battle for, but in addition, depending on drivers preference, the Teams Championship or the Privateers Championship awaits.

Working alongside Turn 10, the series is officially sponsored and will feature in-game credits and gift cars to be won by the drivers. Those skilled, or lucky enough to finish in the top 10 of the Driver Championship will earn themselves a share of the credits available, with the podium finishers of the Championship also gaining a unicorn car of their choice. Not only that, the Privateer Champion will receive credits and a unicorn, with the Team Champions receiving credits. In addition, for all drivers that complete the series with 100% attendance (attending 7 out of 8 races), a random draw will take place to determine who receives another unicorn car.

Series 1 of the infamous SpecRacing event will begin on the 12th January and run through consecutive weeks until the series finale on the 1st March. 8 weeks of intense racing against all manner of skill levels in a series that is very good for those that want to pick up and play, and won't require hours of practice to master.
