Racing a choice of 6 different cars represented by 6 different manufacturers, participants will be able to take their cars and build them any way they wish, as long as they hit the mandatory targets. Racing on Mondays at 19:00 CST / 01:00 GMT / 11:00 AEST, the series will start in the Far East in Japan at Twin Ring Motegi before moving to Europe and the Hockenheimring. Making its way to the United States, the series will do battle at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Infineon Raceway, before moving to the Nurburgring where the Grand Prix environment will be used. Finally, the series will travel to Road Atlanta, Silverstone Racing Circuit and the Circuit de Catalunya located in Spain. A mixture of short tracks than combine speed with handling will test different build and tune philosophies emphatically. For this series, there will be 3 championships available to the drivers of which they will all contest 2. All drivers will battle it out for the Drivers Championship honour, but then whether you run in a Team or as an Independent will determine will determine whether you will compete for the Teams Championship or the Privateers Championship as well. Working alongside Turn 10, the series is officially sponsored and will feature in-game credits and gift cars to be won by the drivers. Those skilled, or lucky enough to finish in the top 10 of the Driver Championship will earn themselves a share of the credits available, with the podium finishers of the Championship also gaining a unicorn car of their choice. Not only that, the Privateer Champion will receive credits and a unicorn, with the Team Champions receiving credits. In addition, for all drivers that complete the series with 100% attendance (attending 7 out of 8 races), a random draw will take place to determine who receives another unicorn car. Series 1 of the front-wheel drive only event will begin on the 27th February and run through consecutive weeks until the series finale on the 16th April. 8 weeks of intense racing against all manner of skill levels in a series that is very good for those that want to learn their trade and get faster and more consistent by racing with like minded individuals. | This is looking to be a good series. I only have one small problem, I am torn between 2 cars and possibly a third. In the VW and the Suzuki I am turning almost identical 1:37.9's in a race lobby. Jumped in with TomKat tonight and had some fun there. Going to be testing the Scion tomorrow, I hope this doesn't add to my confusion... |
