LUIS RAMOS - TNZ RAMOZA (1996 - 2012)

Team EZT has seen members come and members go.  Some join us for a season and then move on whether it's Real Life getting in the way of our loved hobby or for other reasons.  In any case, most have been and are welcome to return.

Unfortunately, on the very first day of this brand new year of 2012, Team EZT suffered its most difficult loss.  TNZ Ramoza, known by his Real Life family and friends as Luis Ramos, passed from this world.  To many of us on EZT, he was a good friend and teammate.  To others, he was more like a son or brother.  In any case, this young man--a little less than a month from turning 16--had the joy, happiness, and excitement that significantly impacted all with whom he came in contact.

He was so very excited when he learned he'd been accepted to EZT Motorsport.  For whatever reason he hadn't been able to change his gamertag to be officially EZT Ramoza.  Many of his new teammates tried one thing or another to have his gamertag reflect what he had in his heart--membership to this team!  We learned of the difficulties that might have to be experienced when Forza 4 launched.  Again, many of his teammates wanted to do whatever they could so that their friend and teammate would not be--or feel--left behind.  We at EZT so looked forward to seeing him in a party lobby on XBL, getting kicked from said lobby, and just enjoying being together online.

Luis was a very talented young man.  He could do things with Forza 3's paint/design module that would make anyone who saw his work say, "Wow!"  We couldn't wait to see the works of art that awaited us from the hands of this wonderful young man in Forza 4!  We were truly privileged to have him on this team.

Yes, this game and hobby may be in a virtual world.  It gets many of us out of the trials and tribulations that inundate us on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis.  But, those individuals who participate--no matter where they call home--are as cared about, loved even, as our own immediate family.

The Bible tells us that there is a time for everything...a time to live and a time to die; a time to laugh and a time to cry.  Speaking for all of EZT, it has been our pleasure to live and laugh with you, Luis!  I believe you know that.  Now, unfortunately, that you have been taken to the presence of the Maker of all things, it is our time to cry.

You will be missed, my friend.  You will not be forgotten!

I asked him a couple of times about what was happening in Mexico with all the problems down there.

He said that yes it was bad in his area.
I don't know his situation, but told him to be careful.
I will miss him. He was a good kid.

We will run a silent lap 12 on this Friday's All-Star Race and I will like for everybody who is eligible for the race to have something for Ramoza. I will run a Green, White, and Red car with the Mexican flag on my hood and a #12 logo on my C-pillar.

I have raced a few times with RAMOZA...a real nice kid. My condolences to all at EZT. R I P.

That was well said Neo! I was shocked to hear this! Taken at such an early age! I raced with him in the stock car series and he was a great racer! I think he brought some of the best out of all of us! RIP Ramoza!!

RIP Ramoza, You did your time in this world as you were supposed to and now it's on to the next. You will be remembered.

Neo, with your permission I would like to feature this troubling event in tonights VM Newsletter, do you have perhaps a selection of images from cars he would run here at EZT? Possibly something with the #12 on it to tie in with the ribbon image you have created and I see in people's signatures.

Ramoza, Luis, had a voracious desire for Audi! He loved them!

Here's a pic of Ramoza leading the truck race at Camino Mini, a race he won.  Again using #112 because #12 wasn't available.   I know he had #12 at VM and participated in some of the end-of-FM3 races but I was never in the same room as he so don't have any pics.  I'll see what else I can find tonight.

This is tragic news. I unfortunately never had the pleasure of meeting or racing with Ramoza but sleep well brother, my thoughts are with your family.
