IROC 79 Series @ TORA

Looks great I would participate but the VM Nascar Series 2 is that night at 9pm EST.

Race distance is set to be about 45 mins, with a Q + Race timeframe of just over an hour. So 9PM EST should be no worries. I have to keep it that way, done around 8PM EST as that is 1AM BST, and I am expecting a few Brits, as it is on TORA.

Can't make the first race though.

I just want to thank the EZT management and mods for letting me post this here. I feel like a jerk for a) not asking prior to, and b) not getting the chance to race in an EZT meet as of yet.

But anyways, I just wanted to say thanks, as I have run into some vocal opposition elsewhere for promoting my series. Which is kinda funny, as some of the little series that have shunned me may be better off numbers wise if they had chosen to jump in and get some exposure via TORA... oh well thier loss. oh yeah, one more

I would like to echo the concern over the timing. Those of us here in the US don't have the time to run two events on the same day only two hours apart. Two hours is simply not sufficient time between events to account for any of the hiccups (connection conflicts, lagouts, etc) that can and sometimes do occur with online play which then impacts the length of the race.

In addition, many of the EZT boys like to have the time before the NASCAR race practicing and/or fine tuning their car. If given the choice between an event that part of our chase for the VM Team Championship or an event that is a "fun" event, well...there really isn't a choice.

This is not an evaluation of the event itself. It may be a great event. It's only the timing that is the negative.

Really sorry about the timeslot conflict. If I had known about a NASCAR series on a Friday night, I most likely would have been in it rather than scheduling opposite of it.

Thanks Neo for the VM NASCAR info. I had a blast last night.


Note: there was a full 90 minutes between the IROC and VN races. Plenty of time for test and tune between the two.



And you guys missed out on an epic fail on my part. I inadvertently hit "-20% Rear Grip" in the Race Set Up menu, resulting in a race that was as slick as the last few laps of this year's NASCAR at the Glen. The oil all over the track made things interesting, and from racer feedback, is something that we may look into adding in a future event as it was an unexpected twist.
