Hey guys!

I have a series proposal I hope that the EZT gang might be interested in... SCCA Trans Am.

Not the vintage TA that has been done (and done and done) but modern Trans Am based on GT1 Corvette, Viper and Aston Martin (since there is no proper GT1 Jag) The race format would be the usual 6 lap Q session (out lap, four hot laps, then stop in T1 on L6) followed by a 100 mile race, just as they do in real life.

And, I have the go-ahead to make this an Official TORA Series, as long as there is enough interest. Most likely on Mondays or Thursdays @ 7P/8M/9C/10E, as this will be the rare TORA American Prime Time Evening Series.

I could really use your help in making this one big...

That's pretty cool, I was just at Trans Am at Road Atlanta last weekend. Got a horrible sunburn because I didn't wear a cap but it was more than worth it.
We were standing by turn one for the beginning of the race and a few laps later one of the turner BMWs pulled up directly in front of me and my friends I went with.
Also got to go in to Max Papis' garage because my friends knew him and had pictures of when he was doing champ car something like 15 years ago with them so I am definitely running the 61 Ferrari when I hope to attend.

Oh and are any you guys in the SCCA? I am thinking about volunteering to sign up for it.

DAMN!!! Way to late for me, that's when I'm leaving for work. Would love to have joined in for this!! Maybe next time.

Due to the announcement of VM's Thursday Night Spec Series, this series will either be on Mondays or perhaps Tuesdays once NATCC has finished in June.

Stock hatch will be returning to Mondays at VM in the near future.

Spec Ford GT may conflict, but R2 Trans Am and any Hatch have very different fans.

But I'll probably play it safe and go with Tuesdays after the TORA NATCC winds down.

Looks interesting, 10 pm eastern is pretty late for me but I'd love to run this.

There is another new series. Starting on Friday, May 10 (9?) at 7PM EST/4PM Pacific...the TORA Mustang Challenge.

Based on the SCCA Spec Series for Ford's Mustang, the car is a spec build 2005 Mustang GT at 2800 Lbs and 400 HP on race tires with mostly sport components to limit tune time and create exceptionally close racing throughout the field.

The car feels very similar to the Mustang series that EZT had last winter... as a matter of fact that series was the inspiration for mine.
