Great Video Coot. Are you able to tune your cars for more top speed? Seems like some of the cars were able to pull up on the outside from being a few cars lengths back. We wouldn't be able to race in close quarters like that in Forza.
Do you have to race in the IN-Car view all the time?

Hey Tom - All the cars are 'tune-able', however this race was one of the 'fixed set-up' events. The tuning parameters are complicated, so there are 'fixed' events to equal the field. There'a also a bunch of set-ups by other respected drivers that are available. The draft is quite prominent on the high speed ovals, and the outside line can take advantage of the side draft, as long as you're paired up - but the low line usually prevails.
The race 'season' lasts 12 weeks, and there's always a major update at the end of each season, incorporating handling, tires, graphics, etc. We just got the NASCAR new rules package update, and some are saying that it is helping with the high-line draft. There's no AI, so we're always racing other members.
All races are 'in car' view, however there is a formula that computes the 'Field of Vision' based on the screen size & distance. You can also adjust the 'seat' up/down forward/back. Result is the in-car is just as natural as driving the Olds up to the Seven Eleven. As comparison, the in-car in Forza is a little too long, and gives a somewhat distorted/lengthened view, but at the same time increases the feeling of speed.
All in all, been having fun. I know iRacing's not for everybody, but I kinda committed myself to it as an exclusive hobby. Cheers
