How'd the series end up, MAKO?

It's a bi-weekly series and one race was postponed so it's only two races in so far. Unfortunately I had to miss both. I hope to run next week's race at Indy GP. I'm running the Mercedes and I have a pretty good set up so I think I can contend for top lobby.

I might have run it if they didn't require NO ABS and Sim Damage.

I've got my Achievements up to Level 7 where I get 200,000 Credits every week in Forza 6.
I have over 120,000,000 Credits now.

I'm running a 62-something at Homestead Mini. Just need to get the rhythm of that track especially that last sector before the oval portion.

Cool. Gives me a good starting point never run a single lap at that track, other than the oval of course.

I need to start working on that track also.
I haven't race on it with my new wheel.

Fun track! Ran a bunch of pratice races this morning. Fast lap of 1:00.247 (clean). Running pretty consistent mid to low 1:00's.

Down to a 61.2-something for my best. Mid-61s is average. Need to be able to correctly hit the turn off the oval and the next corner so the most speed can be carried into the next section of turns.

Track reminds me of Sunset Infield!

Don't worry about it too much Neo. I think the racing will be pretty close so handling and in traffic racecraft may trump laptimes. You can carry full speed through the first bend to turn two, the drop to third and aim for the inside of the corner  running out wide from there. You can carry quite a bit of speed once you get it down. Traffic in the turn will change all that of course. Same with the S going back out onto the oval. Don't try to carry a lot of speed through there as it will upset the car. Scrub off some speed and take it smoothly using the curbs and you will be much more stable coming out.

Tom, I shared an updated tune labled Miami. Give it a try and let me know what you think. I bumped the brake pressure up to 100% because I was having trouble getting the car slowed down enough at the end of the back straight. Turns in much better and the rear hangs on better through the center of the turn.

Got down to 60.787 last night! Though, as MAKO said, it's going to be different with traffic. Probably should have focused on that instead of being "fast."

59.8's this morning, just sayin'!  That also put me at #282 on the overall leaderboard.

Well, it didn't matter what my best time was. Apparently there is zero-tolerance for anyone who misses properly signing in. Gone are the days of racing in the last lobby?

Ended up with a 7th and an 8th. Missed the last race again as echo glitched and the race wouldn't start. Almost made it. Was actually fighting for 2nd in the first race but bumped the car in front of me in the last s going out to the straight upsetting us both. Thought he was carrying more speed than he was and ran right up on him. Got spun at the end of the back straight in race two and fell back to 10th but worked my way back.

Tough track to pass on and the racing was tight. There was contact but nothing malicious, just hard racing in tight quarters. Had a good time and some really competitive battles throughout the two races. Had the pace for better finishes but good night for me anyway. I did manage to put down a few 59.8's during the two races.

Not really understanding why Mikey didn't let you race, especially since you messaged him beforehand. Does seem a bit harsh. I might inquire why from him.

I'll leave that up to you to decide.

I'm good with it, regardless. It might have been more hassle that it was worth for them, whoever runs this series, to add anyone after the fact since they are using Google Docs. It may be so integrated, it's next to impossible to make ad hoc changes.

Got a 2:09.916 last night.  Probably going to be around a 2:10 tonight, though.

My future in this series, and probably TORA overall, is in the process of being evaluated.

What happened?

I had words with Mikey during one of the very early laps of Race 1 Tuesday night after he put me, spun me--I believe since I have not seen a replay--into the T4 (I think) guardrail. I possibly could be the guilty party.

The fact it occurred isn't so bad. It was what I said is the problem, for me anyway. I wasn't profane or any such thing, just angry and publicly disrespectful towards him. I did apologize to him personally after Race 3.
