For me, there is not too much good to talk about regarding last night's race at Road Atlanta.
Everything that could go wrong, did. I went off track at Turn 1 on Lap 1
--extremely rookie mistake
for a fairly veteran FM driver.
Went off again at the beginning of the back straight.
Then, the pièce de résistance, I was going entirely too fast going into the final turn before the finish line (don't recall which lap it was
), went into the tire barrier on the left side of the track, bounced high into the air clearly across the track to the other side right in front of SavageCowboy89.
Thankfully, he was not collected in the incident. If you watch the replay from my vantage point, you will "enjoy" the theatrics! Mercifully, the replay ends as I get to the top of the hill on the way to the esses.
I am sure there were other "lowlights," as well. I just cannot recall them all!
The only redemption, if there is any, is that I maintain third place in the overall standings heading into one of my favorite tracks--Sebring International Raceway.
Though, I heard there is rain in the forecast. Not a big fan of rain anywhere, let alone Sebring!
By the way, replay is posted. Search for
EZT SNS2 R5 or me as the creator. Enjoy the show!
