EZT MOTORSPORT
presents
STOCKHATCH SERIES 1

Mondays:  5 PM PT / 6 PM MT / 7 PM CT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (UK)
(times taken from worldtimezone.net)

EZT MOTORSPORT events are catered for fun, clean, competitive racing.
All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
All we ask is that you are committed to the event.
This means, if you sign up for an event, you should complete it.

This event will feature three of the hottest hatchbacks on the circuit:  the 1992 VW Golf Gti 16v Mk2, the 1993 Renault Clio Williams, and the 1991 Honda CR-X SiR.  The build specifications for this edition will be B-547 maximum PI, 200 maximum horsepower, and 2,000-pound minimum weight with the actual build up to each driver.  Sign-up period begins Monday, 23 SEP 2019, and closes Monday, 18 NOV 2019 - the first race is Monday, 30 SEP 2019.

Driver numbers are required for all EZT Motorsport events.  Go here to get yours.

OFFICIAL CARS / CAR BUILD SPECIFICATION

To view the Official car, click here.

TEAMS

You do not need to be in a team to participate, but teams are supported.  A team may be two or three drivers.  Only the top two drivers will score team points.  Teams are frozen when the Sign-up period has closed, or when a driver runs his first race.

QUALIFYING

Please be online and ready to race on time.  All series-registered drivers will get an invite from their room host.  If you do not receive an invite by 10 minutes past the hour, please inform the Series Organizer.

Qualifying will take place at 15 minutes past the hour, and will have five (5) flying laps to set your best certified lap.  Please space out on the opening lap to give each other room so all can have clear, unimpeded qualifying laps.  Any driver that lags out or leaves the session will have their best time used as displayed by the results screen.  No driver is to drive backwards around the track.  Please note:  Qualifying will occur prior to Race 1 only, 30 SEP 2019.

CERTIFICATION
Each driver must have a certified lap achieved on their first lap.  A slow cautionary lap must be carried out by every driver, staying on the track and away from the grass, curbs, and walls.  If your lap becomes uncertified, you will have to sacrifice another lap to achieve this very simple task, so go slow and be careful.  All uncertified times will be placed behind certified times in order of fastest to slowest

(Collisions: OFF, Damage:  Cosmetic, STM: OFF, TCS:  OFF)

RACE NIGHT

RACE 1
- Race Night will begin after qualifying completes, times collected / ordered
- Invitations sent to drivers from their lobby host
- Maximum lobby size will be 16 drivers
- Grid Ordering:
---- Fastest to slowest certified qualifying time
---- Fastest to slowest uncertified qualifying time
---- Did Not Qualify
--------- Missed starting time
--------- Missed registration deadline

RACE 2 - RACE 8
- Invitations sent to drivers from their lobby host
- Race begins 15 minutes past the hour
- Maximum lobby size will be 16 drivers
- Winner from lower lobby moved up one lobby
- Grid ordering:
--- Lobby 1
---------- Top 15 drivers according to previous race finishing position (reverse order)
---------- Winner of lower lobby on pole
--- Lobby 2 (and lower)
---------- Last place driver from higher lobby on pole
---------- Next 15 drivers according to previous race finishing position (reverse order)
---------- Any new drivers to the series in order of sign up

Grid order will be posted prior to each race for Race 2 through Race 8.

START / PIT STOP
This series will utilize a standing start. There will be mandatory pit stops in this series.  Pit stops will occur after the first 20 minutes and before the last three laps.
-- Should it become necessary to pit prior to the pit window, it does not count as the official pit stop
-- In a night race, if both headlights become damaged, a pit stop is required; not stopping results in a penalty

RESTARTS
A restart can be called only if one of the following happens:
- A driver lags out within the first lap
- Racing collision involving 3 or more cars within the first lap
- Large lag related crash within the first lap
- Number of restarts:  2
----- First restart will be as normal
----- Second restart will have a 0.5 second roll-off delay

(Collisions: ON, Damage:  Simulation, STM: OFF, TCS:  OFF)

SCHEDULE

Championship Point Distribution

LAGOUTS AND RETIREMENTS
If you do not complete the race through whatever reason, you will be classified as a retirement, and will be ordered by number of laps completed in the finishing order.

CONNECTION CONFLICTS
If you cannot connect to your race room, you will receive last placed points for your qualifying room upon completing the Connection Conflict procedure stated below. This will be for the first two conflicts only, upon which you will then only receive overall last placed points.

LIVERY

Once officially signed up, the official StockHatch Series 1 number plate with your driver number will be available for download.  Do not alter the size other than on the Hood (size 0.80) and the Roof (0.70) from the original.  Search “EZT” under the Description or Creator.

All participants should place their car number in five locations—the two sides, the rear, the hood, and the roof—which should be easy to read.  In addition, they display eztmotorsport.forumotion.com in four locations—the two sides, the rear, and the front—which again, must be easily viewable.  This is a general rule for EZT Motorsport events, but for Series specific details, read below.

The vinyls should be on top of a livery of your choosing.  However, it should be tactful and race themed.  Locations of the number plates, number (on the rear), and URL do not change.  Again, this template must appear on top of your design.

Teams must run the same paintjob, although differences such as displaying gamertags and nationality flags are permitted.  If there is more than one team from a club, then you may run the same design but have different base paints or colors to show the difference.  If desired, drivers within the same team may use different color side-view mirrors.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED LIVERY DESIGNS:
- Illicit drug sponsorship / depiction
- Explicit / offensive designs
- Tinted windows

ADDITIONAL INFO

NOTE:  ***** Sign up period ends two hours before race night begins *****

Only registered drivers will qualify for Race 1.

All eight race results will count towards the final standings.  There is no dropped round.

You are required to have a microphone plugged in during the race meeting, otherwise how can we communicate?

It is recommended you save Replays. This may help rectify disputes.

You cannot cut corners.  Racing is done on the track only.  Anyone caught cutting will face anything from a time penalty, grid penalty or DQ.

CONNECTIONS

Your connection is YOUR responsibility. You must ensure it is the best it can be. This includes :
- turning off all other equipment using the internet during a race
- being wired instead of wireless when possible
=== when wireless, making the signal strength the best it can be as denoted by the dashboard
- finally as a last resort, resetting all equipment

It is highly recommended to get your NAT to appear OPEN (found on your dashboard).  If you cannot connect properly on race day, then it will not be delayed.  Conflicts with other racers preventing access to rooms will need to be sorted by those in question, and those 1 or 2 racers will need to sort their problems, or they will not be allowed to race.  The person with the better qualifying will be allowed to race, as long as he does not conflict with others.  It is strongly recommended to get online 30 mins before race time to work out any connection problems.

Conflict on Race Night
If there is a conflict for your race room, you must find out who the conflict is with:
a) Room Host invites all his drivers to the lobby
b) Driver who can't get in then opens a lobby (correct settings)
c) He invites everyone in
d) Whoever can't get in is where the conflict is
e) From these two drivers, the one with the better qualifying will be allowed to race

This process should not take longer than 5 minutes.

TEAM OFFICIALS

If you have any questions or queries regarding any aspect of the series, get in contact with the Series Organizer.  Either send a PM on the forum or send an XBL message.  Be sure to add the organizer to your Friends List, also!

FINALLY...

Communication is key!  Chances should not be taken that will risk other drivers.  No-one's race should be ruined by someone else's mistake.

Please note that builds are frozen once the car has run its first race.
In other words, they cannot be changed.
Any driver caught with a build differing from his or her first-raced build will be disqualified.
