TORAus StockHatch Series 1 - Announcement

The StockHatch series is not new to TORA.  It had its first appearance back in 2011--presented by EZT Motorsport.  It is back for the 2016 Season bringing in new restrictions but keeping those all important core aspects the same.  Drivers can choose between three different cars from two different manufacturers, with each car having multiple build possibilities for the drivers to discover and test to the find the all important combination for ultimate success!

Racing on Mondays at 20:30 EST / 01:30 GMT (UK) / 09:30 West OZ (Tue), the series will visit a vast variety of tracks that will test each of the cars individual qualities to the maximum. Starting in the UK, the series will kick off at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit before heading across the Pond to Lime Rock, Connecticut.  From here, the series will travel to Texas and the East circuit of the Circuit of the Americas.  The next week stops in sunny California for the short track at Sonoma before packing up the crews, cars, and equipment as the series makes its only night race of the series on the south circuit at Yas Marina.  From there, the series heads back to Europe for the final three races:  two short track configurations at both Prague and Hockenheimring with the final race on the national track at Silverstone.  Weather forecasts are calling for rain during that event.  With no two circuits alike, a well balanced car should provide the magic formula to win!

Series 1 will see drivers contest three Championships, with at least one Championship applicable to all drivers. The Driver Championship is the main port of call where all participants will be in battle together.  Whether you race within a team effort or as an individual will determine whether you will compete for the Team or Privateer Championship.

When does all of this begin?  Series 1 is scheduled to begin on the 22nd February and run through consecutive weeks until the series finale on the 11th April. Eight weeks of intense racing against all manner of skill levels in a series that is very good for those that want to learn their trade and get faster and more consistent by racing with like minded individuals!

Race 1 on the Indy configuration at Brands Hatch was a blast!! Come check it out for yourself!! Especially you EZT guys!!

Great race indeed last night! Though I had hoped for a better finish, I had a blast.

I'll be posting a video or some video clips of the race. Hope some of the EZT guys try to either get an XB1 or those who do, to sign up for the series.

 Maybe someone will put the replays on U-Tube so the poor people like me could view them.

My finish wasn't horrible considering how bad my start was. Stalled on the line, then almost rolled it on the turn 1 kerbs a few laps in, all of which put me into a deep hole to climb out of.

I missed last week due to my regular job, but have a race car to letter this Monday and its possible I could be home by race time.

Fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes all crossed.
