Super GT Series 1

Without further ado, the most anticipated event known to the Forza faithful marks its triumphant return with a slight name change, but with a format fully intact and containing everything you loved from before. The Super GT series, formally the JGTC, is brought back to life racing in high powered, rear-wheel drive machines across a 2 race format that puts the skill of the driver to breaking point as there are no assists allowed. Climatic racing combined with exhilarating speed brings a uniquely addictive experience for the purist to enjoy.

Racing on Sundays at 14:00 CST / 20:00 GMT / 06:00 AEST, the series will visit tracks that will test the different strengths and weaknesses of all the cars. The series will commence at its native Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi Circuit, before moving onto Mugello Autodromo Internazionale in Italy. A quick trip across the Atlantic to Infineon Raceway marks Round 3 with Circuit de Catalunya and Suzuka Circuit following. Finally, Sunset Peninsula Raceway, Hockenheimring and Sedona Raceway Park mark the end of the series. A mix of technical and speed tracks should bring out the different perks that each car contains.

Within this series, drivers will be fighting for the spoils in 3 categories. The Drivers Championship is the main championship in which all drivers signed up will challenge for, but then there are additional championships, depending on your situation. The Teams Championship is available to those who have 3 drivers in the same livery designed machines but if you want to run on your own, the Privateers Championship awaits you. With 3 Championships available, the fight for honours should prove intense.

Working alongside Turn 10, the series is officially sponsored and will feature in-game credits and gift cars to be won by the drivers. Those skilled, or lucky enough to finish in the top 10 of the Driver Championship will earn themselves a share of the credits available, with the podium finishers of the Championship also gaining a unicorn car of their choice. Not only that, the Privateer Champion will receive credits and a unicorn, with the Team Champions receiving credits. In addition, for all drivers that complete the series with 100% attendance (attending 7 out of 8 rounds), a random draw will take place to determine who receives another unicorn car.

Series 1 of the well received event will begin on the 29th January and run through consecutive weeks until the series finale on the 18th March. 8 weeks of racing in performance machines that will be sure to test every ounce of your reserve and provide a truly unrivalled experience.
