Mondays:  5 PM PT / 6 PM MT / 7 PM CT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (UK)
(times taken from worldtimezone.net)

EZT MOTORSPORT events are catered for fun, clean, competitive racing.
All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
All we ask is that you are committed to the event.
This means, if you sign up for an event, you should complete it.

This event will feature a specifically built 2000 Ford SVT Cobra R with limited tuning capabilities.  Sign-up period begins Sunday, 04 OCT 2020, and closes Sunday, 27 DEC 2020 - the first race is Monday, 19 OCT 2020.

Driver numbers are required for all EZT Motorsport events.  Go here to get yours.

OFFICIAL CAR / CAR BUILD SPECIFICATION

To view the Official SPECRacing Series 2 car, click here.

TEAMS

Teams are not required, but are supported.  Teams may consist of two or three drivers.  Only the top two drivers will score team points.  Teams are frozen when the Sign-up period has closed or when a driver runs his / her first race.

SCHEDULE

CAR INSPECTION / QUALIFYING

Two additions have been made to the schedule--Week Q1 and Week Q2.  Week Q1 will be a car inspection / qualifying session for the first half of the series.  Week Q2 will be qualifying only for the second half of the series.
*****NOTE*****  Newly registered drivers will be subject to the car inspection.

The session will begin at the normally scheduled start time and will be open for 60 minutes.  The session will conclude once all those that wish to qualify have done so.  While this is not mandatory, any driver with an illegal build or violating livery rules will be penalized up to and including race and / or series disqualification.

CAR INSPECTION
Each driver's car will be inspected for the required vinyls as well as proper build.  Once car passes inspection, the driver may then proceed to qualifying.

QUALIFYING
- Only one opportunity to qualify
---- Three (3) flying laps--excluding out lap
- Five second delay between drivers when more than one driver qualifies
- Track will be cleared of those drivers not qualifying
---- Those not qualifying must enter pit road and remain at the end of pit road when exiting
- Keep chatter down to allow qualifying drivers to concentrate
- Once qualified, please leave the session
---- Practice may continue afterwards for those drivers not yet qualified

Any driver that lags out or leaves the session will have their best time used as displayed by the results screen.  No driver is to drive backwards around the track.

CERTIFICATION
Each driver must have a certified (clean) lap achieved on the out lap.  A slow cautionary lap must be carried out by every driver, staying on the track and away from the grass, curbs, and walls.  If the out lap lap becomes uncertified (dirty), another lap will need to be used to achieve this very simple task--go slow and be careful.  All uncertified times will be placed behind certified times in order of fastest to slowest.
(Collisions: OFF, Damage:  Cosmetic, STM: OFF)

CHAMPIONSHIP POINT DISTRIBUTION

There will be a minimum of three championships in this competition:
  1. US Championship (Overall, Team*, and Privateer*)
  2. European Championship (Overall, Team*, and Privateer*)
  3. Overall Championship (Overall, Team*, and Privateer*)
* = Should there be sufficient registrations to support Team Championship / Privateer Championship

START / PIT STOP
This series will utilize a standing start.

There will be one mandatory pit stop in this series.  Pit window will open at the 15 minute mark and close at the 25 minute mark.
-- Should it be necessary to pit before the designated 10-minute pit window, it does not count as the official pit stop
-- Should both headlights become damaged during a night race, a pit stop is required; not stopping results in a penalty

RESTARTS
A restart can be called only if one of the following happens:
- A driver lags out within the first lap
- Racing collision involving 3 or more cars within the first lap
- Large lag related crash within the first lap
- Number of restarts:  2
----- First restart will be as normal
----- Second restart will have a 0.5 second roll-off delay
(Collisions: ON, Damage:  Simulation, STM: OFF)

LAGOUTS AND RETIREMENTS
If any driver does not complete the race through whatever reason, they will be classified as a retirement, and will be ordered by number of laps completed.

CONNECTION CONFLICTS
If a driver cannot connect to the race lobby, that driver will receive last place points for the assigned race lobby only after upon completing the Connection Conflict procedure stated below.  This applies to the first two conflicts only.  If there are more than two conflicts, then overall last place points will be awarded.

LIVERY

Once officially signed up, the official SPECRacing Series 2 number plate with your driver number will be available for download (do not alter the size other than on the Hood—size 0.90—and the roof—size 0.80—from the original).  Search “EZT” under the Description or Creator.

All participants should place their car number in fsix locations—the two sides, right side of (from painting perspective) front and rear bumper (number only, not number plate), the hood, and the roof—which should be easy to read.
In addition, they display eztmotorsport.forumotion.com in four locations—the two sides, the rear, and the front—which again, must be easily viewable.  This is a general rule for EZT Motorsport events, but for Series specific details, read below.

The vinyls should be on top of a livery of your choosing.  However, it should be tactful and race-themed.  Locations of the number plates, number (on the front and rear bumper), and URL do not change.  Again, this template must appear on top of your design.

Teams must run the same livery, although differences such as displaying gamertags and nationality flags is permitted.  If there is more than one team from a club, then you may run the same livery but have different base paints or colors to show the difference.  If desired, drivers within the same team may use different color side-view mirrors.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED LIVERY DESIGNS:
- Illicit drug sponsorship / depiction
- Explicit / offensive designs
- Tinted windows

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

***** Sign up period ends 24 hours before Race Night begins *****
-- Race-day registrations are not permitted

Only registered drivers may qualify.
-- "Qualify first, then register" is not permitted

Forza Race Regulations will be employed for this series.

One dropped round per half of the series for a total of two dropped rounds.  Final points will be determined by the best four results of the US race schedule and the best four results of the European race schedule.

A functioning microphone is required as communication is key.  Any driver causing avoidable contact as a result of a malfunctioning microphone will be penalized up to and including disqualification.

It is recommended you save Replays.  This may help rectify disputes.

You cannot cut corners.  Racing is done on the track only.  Anyone caught cutting will be penalized up to and including disqualification.

CONNECTIONS

The driver's connection is THEIR responsibility.  It must be ensured it is the best it can be.  This includes :
- turning off all other equipment using the Internet during a race
- being wired instead of wireless, when possible
---- when wireless, making the signal strength the best it can be as denoted by the dashboard
- finally resetting all equipment, as a last resort

It is highly recommended to have NAT to appear OPEN.  If a driver cannot connect properly on race day, the race will not be delayed.  Conflicts with other drivers preventing access to a lobby will need to be sorted by those in question, and those one or two drivers will need to sort their problems, or they will not be permitted to race.  The driver with the better qualifying / previous race finishing position will be permitted to race, as long as there are no further conflicts with others.  It is strongly recommended to get online 30 mins before race time to work out any connection problems.

Conflict on Race Night
If there is a conflict for a race lobby, determine conflicting parties:
a) Room Host invites all drivers to the lobby
b) Driver unable to join the lobby then opens a separate lobby (correct settings)
c) That driver then invites other assigned drivers into that lobby
d) Whoever is then unable to join that lobby has the conflict
e) From these two drivers, the one with the better qualifying / previous race finishing position will be permitted to race

This process should not take longer than 5 minutes.

FINALLY...

Communication is key!  Chances should not be taken that will risk other drivers.  No-one's race should be ruined by someone else's mistake.
